Timeline

Founded in 2010 in Florida, the Dinolingo® language learning program relocated to New York City in 2017. The company has experienced steady growth by consistently adapting to technological advancements in the education industry each year.

January 2010 – Serdar Acar, the founder of DinoLingo, ended his hopeless search to find an age appropriate, engaging language learning program for his child.

May 1st 2010 – The Dinolingo was born. Serdar, with a background in TV productions, along with his brother, a professor in marketing, after consulting with a number of educators came up with the theory of an entertaining language program for children.

August 2011 – 15 months later, first product release. Polish for kids DVD set published, followed by English. Manufactured in the United States, both Polish and English learning DVD sets started to ship worldwide.

July 2013 – 200 contributors; teachers, translators, language experts, artists, musicians and actors involved in the massive project, the company releases its 34th language course and adds more products into its packages, such as flashcards, posters, CDs and books.

June 2014 – DinoLingo 1.0 was launched. Our first online platform, hosted on WordPress. A fully remote, online subscription based language learning platform for kids.

Dinolingo 1.0

April 2016 – 50th language release + 5,000 new eBooks (ePub). These illustrated ePubs are distributed through Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Google and Apple and through major library and school distributors.

August 2018 – DinoLingo 2.0 was launched. The new online website and app is launched by adding bunch of new features, the gamification technique and expanding the curriculum. We also released an app to go with it. We stopped shipping physical products altogether.

Dinolingo 2.0

January 2020 – We start working on the concept for a brand new website. Dinolingo, 3.0.

March 2020 – Covid hits.

May 2020 ~ 10th year anniversary.

December 2021 ~ Dinolingo 3.0 was launched after 2 years of hard work. A redesigned website and app with a new business model, a new structure, detailed reporting tools and more content. On the New website, we offer only annual subscriptions with seven day refund policy. We also added a separate school website into our existing site.

Feb 2022– We change the subscription plan and start offering monthly subscriptions instead of annual subscriptions.

March 2022 – We release our new iOS app.

June 2022 – Now we start offering both monthly subscriptions and the annual subscriptions.

June 2022 – We release our new Android app

January 2023 – We start releasing fresh new content each week.

March 2023 – We start offering 7-day free trial instead of the 7-day refund policy.
