There are a lot of very famous places in China.

The Great Wall of China was chosen as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World in 2001 and people say you can see it from space!

The Forbidden City in Beijing was a big palace for the emperors and their households, and the Summer Palace was their vacation spot in the city.

Xi’an City is the home of the Terracotta Army made up of more than 6,000 life-sized statues of soldiers and horses from the army of the First Emperor of China. These statues were made in around 210 BC and were only discovered in 1974.

The Silk Road, a trade route used during the Roman Empire, also starts in China at the Yellow River Valley.
