China is a country of many myths and folktales. Probably the best known are the stories of Mulan and Pangu. Mulan was a brave woman who joined the army to save her old father from having to go and became known across the country for her bravery. When she was offered a very good job because of her bravery, she turned it down so she could go home to be with her family.
Pangu was a boy who was born when the earth and sky were the same. He grew very tall enough for 18,000 years until he was big enough and strong enough to separate them. Today the earth and the sky are two different things all because of Pangu.
